Established in 1920, Brunswick Country Club has been a part of the Golden Isles for nearly a century.
The club has shared an association with many recognizable names in the game of golf, such as Andy Bean,
Steve Melnyk and Davis Love III. Brunswick Country Club plays host to the Golden Isles Invitational Tournament
each year and has done so since the inaugural event in 1949. The Golden Isles Invitational has broad appeal and
attracts players from across the eastern United States.
In November 2007, the course reopened after Love Golf Design's completion
of a twelve month restoration project which returned the golf course to its original
1938 Donald Ross design. Construction on a new 16,000 square foot clubhouse began in
April 2008 and is expected to take 12-13 months to complete. Amenities will include a golf shop,
dining facilities, locker rooms and a swimming pool. A fitness center is programmed for a
later phase of the overall project.
